Strong culture. Strong governance. A sustainable future.

Warlangurru Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC represents the native title rights and interests of the Warlangurru People, whose Country lies south-west of Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

Our Country. Our Culture. Our Future.

Practical change for our People

In July 2022, the Federal Court made a determination recognising the native title rights and interests of the Warlangurru People across approximately 727 square kilometres of pastoral lease land south-west of Fitzroy Crossing.

Warlangurru Aboriginal Corporation acts as trustee for these native title rights and interests, while working to build a strong, accountable and sustainable organisation for Warlangurru People.

The time has come for practical and real change, not just words. WAC’s strategy is to facilitate economic self-sufficiency while enabling our People to live on traditional lands.

Our Vision

A culturally strong, accountable and sustainable organisation that protects community interests and leads with integrity for future generations.

Our Mission

To serve members through strong governance, responsible financial management, cultural leadership and transparent decision-making, creating lasting opportunities and financial independence for Warlangurru People.

Our Core Values

Cultural Authority, Accountability, Transparency, Respect, Unity and Sustainability guide our decisions, strengthen our community and shape the future we build together.

Building Independence

A strong future together

“The Corporation’s focus now is on building the governance maturity, revenue base and organisational capability to sustain itself for the long term.”

Community governance, including transparent member engagement, Elder involvement and culturally grounded decision-making, is what gives WAC its legitimacy and authority.

Strong community governance is the foundation of WAC’s independence. It keeps the Corporation accountable to its members first, regardless of who else it may work or partner with.
